The papers are mostly articles, talks and research notes but they also include historical material, presumably collected by Bamber as part of his research. The historical material includes a manuscript written in 1722 by Christopher Tootell on the martyrs of the 17th century, as well as indentures relating to Catholic  - owned land in Lancashire.</dc:description>
