  <dc:description>most 1856 - 1866, Correspondence, mostly from Henry Edward Wilberforce and Arthur Wilberforce to their father, Henry W. Wilberforce, and mother, and [?sisters] Caroline and Agnes, written during their time at Ushaw College. The letters are rich in detail and cover most aspects of college life. Some letters are also written from the Oratory at Birmingham and include references to conversations with John Henry Newman. Henry E. Wilberforce is referred to throughout the correspondence as Harryby his family, although the catalogue has retained his original christian name throughout.</dc:description>
