Br Francis McIntee was born in 1882 and went to St Aloysius' College, Glasgow. He entered Manresa in 1908. He moved about frequently, spending time at Manchester, Roehampton, Stonyhurst, Manresa, Loyola Hall, St Beuno's and Petworth. For eight years from 1914 to 1922 he worked at the Manresa Press.
