He entered the English Province of the Society of Jesus 7 September 1758. He served the Missions of Tusmore, Exeter, and Arlington (Devon), for a short time, but from 1777 resided at Cowley Hill, St Helen’s (Lancashire), as chaplain to Mrs Eccleston, and opened the chapel of St Mary’s, Lowe House, St Helen’s on 1 September 1793. The mission derived its name from the widow, Mrs Eccleston, nee Lowe, the principal benefactress of the chapel and presbytery. He died suddenly on 5 January 1813, and was buried near the altar of the chapel. </Nationality>
