Fr Michael Casano SJ was born 24 March 1837, in Palermo (Sicily), Italy. He entered the Sicilian Province of the Society of Jesus 10 November 1852, and was professed of the four vows 15 August 1867. Assigned to the English Province, he was sent to the missions of British Honduras (now Belize), and died there, in the town of Corozal, 16 August 1874.
