Fr Joseph Closette SJ was born February 1752, in Flanders, Belgium. He entered the Society of Jesus 7 September 1771. After he was ordained as a Roman Catholic priest he was sent to Callaly Hall c.1779, and then to Wardour Castle in September 1781. He was accidentally killed by a fall from his horse at Ludwell (Wiltshire), in returning from a sick call, on 23 October 1781.
